QUALITY BAKING FACTORY
The story of Engel bakery began in a small local confectionary established by Baruch Engel at the turn of the 20th century in a small village in Poland. After the Second World War, Izsak Engel, who had spent his youth in the business learning the delicious secret recipes, moved to Israel opening a local confectionary in Tel Aviv that continued a truly unique baking tradition.
Word of the delicious Engel cookies and cakes quickly spread. By the time Izsak’s son Doron took the helm in the late 1970s, he began modernizing the business, but the magic ingredients of each recipe and the taste that had become synonymous with Engel, remained.
Liron Engel, who entered the business during the early 1990s and is the 4th generation of bakers in the family, built a new high-quality manufacturing facility with 25 delivery trucks and over 100 employees. Until today, for over 100 years the recipes stay true to their originals, the taste has never been spoilt, and now demand for Engel products is worldwide.
